Sacerdote para a Humanidade

  

Na Quinta Feira Santa de 2018 a diocese de Hsinchu em Taiwan celebrou a Missa do Crisma como de costume; neste dia se ressalta o sacerdócio de Cristo e a vocação sacerdotal dos que por Cristo entregam suas vidas ao serviço do Reino. Os Missionários da Consolata estavam presentes juntamente com os demais presbíteros da diocese, que somam 94 padres, sendo que 67 são estrangeiros, confirmando assim a universalidade da vocação sacerdotal. A celebração foi marcada pela homenagem feito pelo bispo Dom Li ao missionário da Consolata, pe. Eugenio Boatella Cumpian, pelas suas Bodas de Prata de seus 25 anos de sacerdócio; estes anos foram entregados ao serviço da missão. Pe. Eugenio é natural de Málaga, Espanha; fez seu processo formativo em Espanha, Itália e Colômbia; depois da ordenação sacerdotal em 1993 foi destinado a servir na pastoral juvenil e na animação missionária em Espanha.

Em 2000 foi destinado para Coreia do Sul onde esteve até 2013. Durante este tempo trabalhou em várias áreas: diálogo inter-religioso, formação de candidatos ao sacerdócio, pastoral juvenil e assistência aos imigrantes. Em setembro de 2014 chegou a seu mais novo destino, Taiwan, para ajudar na realização de um grande desejo do Instituto da Consolata, isto é, abrir uma nova missão no continente asiático. Não teria um dia melhor que este para homenageá-lo, posto que seja o dia em que celebramos o sacerdócio de Cristo, verdadeiro sacerdote, a instituição da Eucaristia e a grande mensagem do serviço aos demais no lava-pés. Parabéns pe. Eugenio pelos 25 anos de doação da vida, de serviço, de alegria e humildade, Parabéns pela vida entregada a exemplo de Cristo, sacerdote por excelência!

 

En el Jueves Santo de 2018 la diócesis de Hsinchu, Taiwán celebró la Misa del Crisma como de costumbre; en este día se resalta el sacerdocio de Cristo y la vocación sacerdotal de los que por Cristo entregan sus vidas al servicio del Reino. Los Misioneros de la Consolata estaban presentes junto a los demás presbíteros de la diócesis, que suman 94 sacerdotes, siendo que 67 son extranjeros, confirmando así la universalidad de la vocación sacerdotal. La celebración fue marcada por el homenaje hecho por el obispo Li al misionero de la Consolata, p. Eugenio Boatella Cumpian, por sus Bodas de Plata (25 años de sacerdocio); estos años se entregaron al servicio de la misión. El P. Eugenio es natural de Málaga, España; hizo su proceso formativo en España, Italia y Colombia; después de la ordenación sacerdotal en 1993 fue destinado a servir en la pastoral juvenil y en la animación misionera en España.

En 2000 fue destinado a Corea del Sur donde estuvo hasta 2013. Durante este tiempo trabajó en varias áreas: diálogo interreligioso, formación de candidatos al sacerdocio, pastoral juvenil y asistencia a los inmigrantes. En septiembre de 2014 llegó a su más nuevo destino, Taiwán, para ayudar en la realización de un gran deseo del Instituto de la Consolata, es decir, abrir una nueva misión en el continente asiático. No tendría un día mejor que éste para homenajearlo, puesto que es el día en que celebramos el sacerdocio de Cristo, verdadero sacerdote, la institución de la Eucaristía y el gran mensaje del servicio a los demás en el lavatorio de los pies. Felicitaciones p. Eugenio por los 25 años de donación de la vida, de servicio, de alegría y humildad, Felicitaciones por la vida entregada a ejemplo de Cristo, sacerdote por excelencia!
