A DIFFERENT MISSION WITH DIFFERENT STRATEGIES

“WHEN IT’S OBVIOUS THAT THE GOALS CANNOT BE REACHED, DON’T ADJUST THE GOALS, ADJUST THE ACTION STEPS”. Confucius.

Well i tend to agree a great deal with this Oriental Master of wisdom on this. many a times we tend to get comfortable with what we know, what we love, that which we are used to, etc. and have a tremendous fear for the unknown. In fact as the say goes, “better the devil you know than the angel you don’t know”. Well I feel it’s all a problem of strategies; and as Confucious well say, in life we will have many different goals at different times. That’s really the dynamic of life. All what makes the difference is how we play around with our strategies.

In our case hare, having our backgrounds based on Western or African foundations, are finding it really challenging to arrive at our desired goals of evangelization. We were used to our known methods. Our well mastered strategies are so appealing to us and thus the temptation to carry them with us to this side of the world. Well this is where Confucious tells us off: “Adjust your strategies if you have to achieve your goals!”
